The pain caused by endometriosis is both physically and mentally exhausting. It takes on average 8 – 10 years to be diagnosed.  In South Africa, there are minimal support structures in place for women who suffer from endometriosis – and there are millions of women suffering in silence. Many of these women may not even know they have endometriosis and simply believe that the pain and debilitation that goes hand in hand with endometriosis is just something women “have to put up with”! Nothing could be further from the truth!
